2008 is shaping up to be another huge year for Björk as she announces her first UK tour for four years and releases her brand new single 'Declare Independence' on January 1st on One Little Indian Records.

Coming to the UK in April 2008, the Volta Tour has seen Björk take her thrilling new set across the world in a series of festival performances and headline shows to considerable acclaim.

"Björk delivers a performance as visually spectacular as it is musically innovative. Fifteen years into her solo career Björk remains the least compromising and most fantastical pop superstar talent." The Guardian 5/5 live review 29th August 2007.

Björk's band on the Volta Tour includes Mark Bell (LFO) on computers and keyboards and Damian Taylor on keyboards and programming. Drums & percussion come from Chris Corsano (Sonic Youth etc) and Björk's fantastic all female Icelandic 10 piece brass section is in full effect.
