The Mighty Human League are set to perform the 1981 genre defining 'Dare' in it's entirety for the very first time to mark the 30th anniversary of the band.
The London listings magazine Time Out this week confirmed the opening date at London Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday 1st December 2007 and tickets go on sale this Friday. Both Gary Numan and OMD have recently performed albums in their original track order to sold out venues in London and these League gigs are expected to sell out just as quickly.
With production and instrumentation years ahead of it's time, few electronic albums have come close to touching it's technical and melodic supremacy.
By 1985, 'Dare' had sold over 5 million copies worldwide - it's worldwide success saved Richard Branson's Virgin Records from bankruptcy in the early 80's and the album was lovingly remastered by Simon Heyworth in 2002.
Whilst tracks from 'Dare' have often been played in the past by the League, album gems such as 'Do Or Die' (one of Dare's finest in our opinion) and the Judge Dredd inspired 'I Am The Law' have not been performed since 1982.
The League's manager Simon Watson contacted the site today and confirmed that more UK dates will be added and details will be on Electronically Yours shortly.

This gig was fantastic. Phil and the girls looked the business, the backing was excellent and it confirmed that DARE was is a classic. I have rarely been to a gig with such an electric atmosphere. Will back to see them with Heaven 17 et al in 2008.
