Wooden Shjips | Monday 10 May 2010 | The Little Civic
Plus Nightworker Revival & DJ set from Sim Spaceman of legendary Birmingham Psychedelia Clubnight Sound Of Confusion!!
Their songs sound something akin to the icy garage rock of early Echo & The Bunnymen, but with Kim Salmon of the Scientists as its frontman. There are hints of krautrock, the trance-inducing organ haze of Suicide with Deerhunter style dance-drone, classic desert-fried garage psych all mixed into one explosive whole

After what 's shaping up to be a sellout headline tour in April, Wooden Shjips will be returning for an exclusive UK warm-up date here at The Little Civic before heading off to support Pavement on their seminal comeback tour and then on to the sold out Pavement currated ATP (All Tomorrows Parties) festival in Minehead.
