In 2006, John Mitchell (Kino, Arena, The Urbane, John Wetton) joined the band as vocalist/guitarist, replacing Frank Dunnery, and the band embarked on a well-received tour of the UK. The live album "When the Lights Go Down", taken from this tour, was released in 2007. In 2008, Lee Pomeroy (Take That, Headspace) replaced Dick Nolan on bass. That year also saw their critically acclaimed studio album "The Tall Ships" released, followed in 2009 by "This is Japan" from their Japanese tour. Since reforming, the band have embarked on regular UK and international tours, playing to a dedicated and ever-expanding fan base.
"Map of the Past" is the latest studio album by It Bites. Released in March 2012, the album is inspired by the discovery of an old family photograph, it's a highly personal journey that explores love, passion, jealousy, anger, remorse and loss through the eyes of a previous generation against the backdrop of Britain as it enters a new century and one of the most defining periods of its history.
