Car Parking During Wolverhampton’s Victorian Christmas Market 15, 16 & 17 December 2017

The city’s Victorian Christmas Markets and evening road closures on show nights at Wolverhampton Civic Hall mean that it will not be possible to reach the Civic Centre Car Park this weekend.

The nearest car park to the Civic Hall is located at Fold Street, WV1 4LF.

To reach this car park leave the ring road at the junction with Salop Street, take the first left and the car park is a short distance on your left. This route is shown in RED on the map, below.

If you parked at The Civic Centre Car Park earlier in the day it will still be possible to exit the car park via North Street.

Before your visit we would like to let you know of some changes to ensure getting to the Civic and Wulfrun Halls is as easy as possible.

What difference will you see?

Works on the multi-million-pound refurbishment of the Grade II listed venue have been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances and major changes to the fabric of the building will not be visible to visitors at this time.

Behind the scenes we have improved our wi-fi, improved the electrics and linked up with Ticketmaster UK to help improve the customer experience.

Security measures

You will notice enhanced security measures around the buildings and on your way into the buildings.

  • Roads will be closed around the buildings and this will impact your route to the Civic Centre car park – please see below for routing advice
  • Searches will take place in covered areas outside the buildings
  • No bags over the size of an A4 sheet of paper will be allowed into the building. In order to help us speed up entry, please don’t bring anything with you that’s not essential
  • No bottles will be allowed into the building

Additional security measures have been put in place for customer and staff safety. We will endeavour to get you into the buildings as quickly as possible but queuing is likely, especially at sold out events - when possible, we will open our doors early.

Changes to Car Parking

Red Lion Street, Mitre Fold and North Street will be closed to all traffic when events are taking place in the Civic or Wulfrun Hall. This means that the Civic Centre car park will not be accessible via North Street. Your route into the Civic Centre car park will now be exclusively through Wulfruna Street, meaning that you will need to turn off the ring road onto Stafford Street then turn right into Wulfruna Street. If you are using sat nav to reach us, please use post code WV1 1LY.

The pedestrian route to the Civic Hall from the Civic Centre car park will remain open.
