Award-winning acoustic trio Whalebone and award-winning writer Kate Innes are touring the region with their fascinating new collaboration.
Flocks of Words is an immersive, hypnotic blend of music and poetry exploring landscape and the human soul. Through interplay of beautifully pitched, evocative poems, and haunting, interwoven harmonies, the audience is drawn into an uplifting soundscape of creative power.
Featuring entirely original material and expert musicianship, these concerts are spirited explorations of the natural and mythic landscape all around us. Grounded in the Shropshire Hills where the artists live and work, the experience soon becomes the audience's own and the themes universal.

    "Elemental force . . . expressively beautiful ?" Folkwords

"This is landscape poetry at its best." Pauline Prior-Pitt
